Leadership Development Award
Awarded to a student organization/university program that intentionally supports the leadership growth of its members. This award honors organizations that create ongoing opportunities for students to explore and develop their leadership skills, prepare for leadership roles beyond the organization, and meaningfully contribute to the campus and broader community. This award also celebrates organizations and programs that demonstrate thoughtful approaches to membership development, including strategies to recruit, engage, and retain members through leadership-focused experiences.
Most Improved Group of the Year
Awarded to a recognized student organization or university program that has demonstrated significant growth and progress over the past academic year. This award highlights improvements in membership recruitment and involvement, campus programming, and community service, celebrating groups that have shown a commitment to their mission and a dedication to positive change.
New Group of the Year
Awarded to a recently established student organization or university program (founded within the last two years, on or after July 2024) that has shown exceptional promise in fulfilling its mission, contributing to campus and community life, and building a strong foundation for future success. This award celebrates new groups that have made meaningful strides in leadership development, membership growth, and service to the University of Missouri and the surrounding community.
Small Group of the Year
Awarded to a student organization or university program with 50 members or less that exemplifies an outstanding commitment to serving its members, the University of Missouri, and the surrounding Columbia community. This award highlights a group that has made a significant impact through its vision, collaboration, programming, and leadership development.
Medium Group of the Year
Awarded to a student organization or university program with 51 to 100 members that exemplifies an outstanding commitment to serving its members, the University of Missouri, and the surrounding Columbia community. This award highlights a group that has made a significant impact through its vision, collaboration, programming, and leadership development.
Most Improved Group of the Year
Award given to the recognized campus group which has made improvements over the past academic year specifically related to membership recruitment and involvement, campus programming and community service.
Large Group of the Year
Recognizes a student organization or university program with over 100 members that exemplifies an outstanding commitment to serving its members, the University of Missouri, and the surrounding Columbia community. This award highlights a group that has made a significant impact through its vision, collaboration, programming, and leadership development.
