How to Apply

Follow the steps below to apply to awards:

1. Get to know the awards by reading the short descriptions for each award below.

2. Once you locate an award you would like to complete a nomination for, find the full description, required questions and more on the nomination form.

3. Complete the nomination form. One nomination per form.

Group Award Descriptions

Inclusivity Development Award: Award given to the recognized student organization/university program that has worked to continually promote inclusivity through programming and membership development.
Large Group of the Year: 
Award given to the recognized student organization/university program (with membership over 120 individuals) that is recognized as best exhibiting an overall commitment to serving the members within the organization, the University of Missouri and surrounding Columbia community.
Leadership Development Award: Award given to the recognized student organization/university program that best trains and prepares their members for leadership roles on the campus and in the community and/or awarded to the organization with the most outstanding membership development program (including recruitment and retention).
Medium Group of the Year: Award given to the recognized student organization/university program (with membership between 50-119 individuals) that is recognized as best exhibiting an overall commitment to serving the members within the organization, the University of Missouri and surrounding Columbia community.
Most Improved Group of the Year: Award given to the recognized campus group which has made improvements over the past academic year specifically related to membership recruitment and involvement, campus programming and community service.
MU Engage Award: Award given to the student organization/university program that best utilizes the new MU Engage platform’s resources and tools to advertise their events, manage their organization and improve the MU Engage platform overall.
New Group of the Year: Award given to one new student organization/university program that has been established for less than two years and demonstrates fulfillment of its mission and campus and community involvement.
Small Group of the Year: Award given to the recognized student organization/university program (with membership less than 50 individuals) that is recognized as best exhibiting an overall commitment to serving the members within the organization, the University of Missouri and surrounding Columbia community.
