T.I.G.E.R.S. Achievement Award
Awarded to a student who has made a meaningful and positive impact on their student organization(s), co-curricular programs, campus, or broader community while demonstrating a commitment to growth, service, and leadership. This award recognizes individuals who embody the Student Affairs T.I.G.E.R.S. Learning Framework through their involvement, students who show initiative, build relationships, uplift their communities, navigate challenges with resilience, and reflect on their personal development.
First-Generation Student Leader of the Year Award
Awarded to a student who is the first in their family to pursue a bachelor’s degree and has made significant contributions to the Mizzou campus community. This award honors individuals who exemplify personal achievement, service, and involvement, demonstrating resilience and dedication in their academic and personal pursuits. Recipients of this award showcase how their identity as a first-generation student has shaped their experiences and inspired their contributions to the university community.
Transfer Student Leader of the Year Award
Awarded to a transfer student who has made a significant impact on the University of Missouri’s campus and the surrounding community. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful connections and contributions at Mizzou following their transition from another institution.
Impact Award
Awarded to a University of Missouri staff or faculty member who exemplifies a commitment to student success and innovation through their professional and personal interactions. This individual fosters a supportive environment for students, offering guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to help students achieve their goals. Through their everyday actions, the recipient serves as a shining example of how staff and faculty can positively influence the student experience at Mizzou. This award is open to all full-time staff and faculty, regardless of whether they serve as an RSO Advisor.
Advisor of the Year Award
Awarded to a student organization or university program advisor who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for student leaders. This award honors advisors who go above and beyond their professional responsibilities, volunteering their time to guide, mentor, and inspire students. The recipient exemplifies how an advisor can play a vital role in helping students grow, learn, and develop into successful and responsible leaders.
Graduate/Professional Student Leader of the Year Award
Awarded to a graduate or professional student who has made significant contributions to the University of Missouri and the broader community. This award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional involvement, service, and leadership while maintaining academic excellence in their post-undergraduate career. Graduate and professional students are defined as individuals who have completed an undergraduate degree and at least one semester of graduate or professional-level coursework.
Rising Student Leader of the Year Award
Awarded to a freshman or sophomore who demonstrates exceptional promise as a future leader and has actively engaged in campus life. This award honors individuals who have shown significant potential, contributed positively to the Mizzou community through their involvement, and exhibited personal and professional growth. Nominees must be classified as a freshman or sophomore (0–59.99 credit hours) by the time of application.
Undergraduate Student Leader of the Year Award
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made a significant positive impact on their student organization or university program by guiding it toward achieving its goals. This award recognizes students who exemplify outstanding leadership, contribute meaningfully to the Mizzou community, and foster growth and collaboration within their organization. Nominees must have completed at least 60 credit hours by the time of application.
