Sustainability
Green Tiger Applications Open
New to Mizzou and interested in sustainability? The Green Tiger Program is a first-year orientation experience designed to help you build community, learn about campus sustainability efforts and explore ways to make a difference—on campus and beyond.
Applications are open to first-year students of any major who are curious about environmental issues, sustainability or simply want to get involved and meet others who care about making a positive impact.

Beekeeping
Admit it: You’ve always wanted to wear that beekeeper suit. Learn how to care for Missouri’s native pollinators during biweekly beehive checkups.

Biking
Sustain Mizzou hosts biking education events and collaborative bike trips throughout the year. Get outside and get moving.

Community Gardening
Get outside and get growing. Give back to the Mizzou community and connect with the environment during garden workdays and nature sessions.

Stream Clean
Go with the flow or lead the way. Help an existing team clean up Columbia’s waterways or create your own self-directed cleanup crew.

Sustain Mizzou Meetings
Interested in learning more about sustainability, environmental issues and how to get involved across campus? Don’t miss Sustain Mizzou General Meetings! Always highly-interactive, presentations are led by students as well as knowledgeable stakeholders from across campus and Columbia, offering environmental education for beginners and experts alike.

Tiger Tailgate Recycling
Tiger Tailgate Recycling seeks to increase recycling rates at home football games. Student volunteers visit tailgating lots and pass out recycling bags, educate tailgaters on proper game day recycling, and answer any other sustainability questions fans may have.
